| We recognize
the importance of codifying and making known to the profession and
to the general public the ethical principles that guide the work of
our Partners, employees of Technalign and other professionals providing
information services.
Ethical dilemmas
occur when values are in conflict. Technalign states the values
to which we are committed, and embodies the ethical responsibilities
of the profession in this changing environment.
We significantly
influence or control the selection, organization, preservation,
and dissemination of information. We have a special obligation to
ensure the free flow of information and ideas to present and future
users of Pioneer Linux and HIATLANTIS users for generations.
Why
a Code of Ethics?
We've found
some Partners not wanting to display Pioneer Linux to certain users.
The reasons ranged, as explained by former Partners, these customers
come in 3 or 4 times a year for a tune-up or viruses cleaning. That
relates to hundreds a year per user going to get their systems fixed.
Some companies have come to expect people and companies to spend
thousands a year on fixing problems with their systems, and in fact
many users have come to expect that they need to spend money fixing
problems.
We ask that
you contact us if you know of a Partner that uses practices that
take advantage of customers. We don't believe that an industry should
be built on making money by causing and leaving issues open to customers,
then requiring them to pay to fix a problem that was created because
of the original problem.
